Protected at the north by the Chaine des Corbières and at the south by the steep foothills of the Pyrenees, the vineyard Maury represent a natural corridor covering 17 km in length and 4 km in width plus some plots on different villages : Saint-Paul de Fenouillet, Tautavel et Rasiguères.
This appellation is composed of black soil (Aptian schist, metamorphic and often decomposed).
La zone d’appellation se compose 90 % sont plantés de grenache noir, alors que le décret d’AOC n’impose ce cépage qu’à concurrence de 75 %.
Different products:
These wines are issued from best cuvées, with an important concentration due to a long maceration with an addition of alcohol. A barrel or a tun ageing will ripe nits complexity and structure.
