Seductive
Translucent effects, glistening interplays, lustrous harmonies ... sometimes dry and cheerful, with a floral nose and a fresh mouth, sometimes round and caressing, golden and redolent of exotic fruit, Sud de France white wines burst radiantly into the day. From apéritif to desert, these unpretentious, elegant wines enhance contemporary world cuisine, especially raw and cooked fish, shellfish and seafood, grilled vegetables, fromages frais and entrancing desserts. In the Mediterranean, the season for white wine, lasts all year round.
Passion
At the heart of the wine-grower’s passion lie reds of a thousand hues: pleasurable, fruity wines; rich, fullbodied wines; wines to be laid down – authentic, complex, grandiose, secret… Each one expresses its sun-drenched character, its aromatic power, its Sud de France personality. These are the perfect wines to drink with classic French cuisine. However, they release their fine and silky tannins and aromas of wild berries, the garrigue, fresh leather, liquorice, sweet spices, morello cherries, aniseed and rosemary just as generously at a picnic or a dinner under the stars.
Delightful
Outside, within view of a lagoon, in the slender shade of a cypress tree or the softer shade of an olive grove, or on the deck of a barge gently winding its way along the Canal du Midi, Sud de France rosés are the expression of the landscapes which created them. Fresh, fruity, delicate, redolent of spring, their character and genuineness are central to sharing and savouring an impromptu moment of pleasure with friends, in the south of France or anywhere else. A variety of rosés are available to be enjoyed with tapas, barbecues, cold buffets and savoury-sweet North African and Asian dishes.
Festive
It was the vineyards of the Sud de France, more precisely, the monks of the Abbey of Saint Hilaire, near Limoux, which in 1531 gave birth to the first brut champagne in the world. Ever since, it has been a feast for the palate. With lively and delicately coloured bubbles, sometimes with green tints, these sparkling wines are the very essence of celebration for life’s great events, both large and small. The cork pops, sparkling, golden bubbles fizz, flutes are raised to the pleasure of getting together ... and so the wine flows both before and after the meal, sometimes throughout it, but always to the very end of the festivities.
Luminous
An explosion of colour and voluptuous aromas; in light tints with a touch of gold, enjoyed as an apéritif or with cheeses, tarts and sorbets, these sweet whites and muscats offer intense pleasure with their variety of honey, apricot and orange blossom notes. Amber whites and garnet and copper reds redolent of candied citrus fruits, baskets of fruit or cocoa and spices, these great natural and late harvest sweet wines bewitch equally foie gras, roquefort and chocolate desserts. They are wonderful wines for conversation and quiet reflection.
